Renovation

Partial funding for renovating the Cultural Center “La Providence.” 

The Cultural Center “La Providence” is located in an old chapel that dates to the seventeenth century. It offers a wide range of cultural activities to children and adults, such as musical instrument lessons and instruction in sculpture, ceramics, drawing, archeology and architecture. It hosts art expositions and various theater and music performances as well as conferences. The grant will allow the association La Semeuse, which manages the Center, to improve security and access for disabled people and to create an amphitheatre in the Center’s yard.

The association La Semeuse was created in 1904 to promote and support public educational institutions through cultural, athletic and social activities.  The association conducts initiatives to expose youths to culture, runs prevention campaigns targeted to at-risk youths and their families, and provides social integration and education support. It operates in six leisure centers in Nice.
